About John
John Maginnes has spent his life in the game of golf. After a decade competing on the PGA Tour, he transitioned to broadcasting, where he's become one of the sport's most trusted voices. He co-hosts Maginnes on Tap, SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio's longest-running talk show, weekdays from 5–7pm ET, and serves as an on-course commentator for SiriusXM, ESPN, and Golf Channel.
John's introduction to Makefield Putters came in 2023, while hosting coverage at the World Am in Myrtle Beach. Three putts on an indoor synthetic green were all it took — he knew instantly that his days as a blade-putter loyalist were over. It wasn't just the feel; it was the design that hooked him.
