The 40th annual Myrtle Beach World Amateur was held this year from August 28th to September 1st. Around 3,200 players competed this year in the world’s largest golf tournament. This inclusive event included scratch golfers, to 35 handicaps, and golfers who just wanted to have some fun. Additionally, it is one of the biggest women’s tournaments with around 400+ participants!
Makefield Putters sponsored the event with a collaboration from Celebrity Greens – Charlotte at the world’s largest 19th hole at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The stakes were high for the annual putting contest sponsored by Makefield Putters and Celebrity Greens. Ultimately, Mike St. Clair came out on top as the winner of putting contest and a custom Makefield putter! We would also like to extend our thanks to our friend John Maginnes.
